Ibanez RGA42FMBLF Solidbody Electric Guitar, Blue Lagoon Burst Flat
The RG series guitars are perhaps the most famous of all Ibanez guitars - time-tested metal machines that guitarists seek out for their excellent sound and construction ideal for fast playing. Thanks to their good price/performance ratio and the use of quality woods, the Standard models are especially appreciated by beginners and slightly advanced players.
The basis of the guitar's dense sound is a meranti body with a veneer of flamed maple and a maple neck with a thin, flat profile. Fast movement on the jatoba (Brazilian cherry) fingerboard and easy string bending are aided by a set of twenty-four jumbo frets and white dot side markers.
A pair of Quantum humbuckers can handle any fast-paced riff chopping or melodic licks. Their sound offers extended bass response, punchy mids and bright highs. The pickups can be selected via a five-position switch, and a tone-shutter and volume control are used to adjust the tone colour.
The strings pass through the body via a solid fingerboard with adjustable stones, which further maximizes the transmission of string vibrations to the body of the instrument. Of course, precision tuning mechanisms are a feature.
